Press-ups/push-ups. Whatever. I did it.

I totally thrashed my goal.  I did a whole three push-ups last Thursday evening (so it was in June).  And then I did three more.  I am the Queen of push-ups.  I was even observed doing them by my very own personal trainer.  Actually, she’s not my personal trainer, but she was personally forcing me to do them at the time, and I am eternally grateful for that.  All hail me, the Queen of push-ups, and all hail Louise Alleyne from Fitquest for making me do them!

Now, not to take away the glory of Louise and her push-up forcing skills, I would like to credit my food a little tiny bit for the greatness of my push-ups.  Even though my shoulder is still sore (but getting better every day), I could do it because I did my prep.  Before any kind of exercise, but especially before hard exercise, you need to have antioxidants in you to protect yourself and to you reduce any inflammation.  I had two veg juices that day, as well as plenty of raw veg, and nuts and seeds.  I was determined that my poxy self wasn’t going to fail AGAIN, so I ate super healthy like a demon, and I did it, as sure as eggs is eggs.

If you are injured, antioxidants are a key part to getting better, and to not getting injured again.  I am an expert on this due to being an ace at getting stupid injuries.  I mean, who else can tear their miniscus cartilage whilst doing up someone’s snowboard boots in the middle of teaching a beginner snowboard class??
